I tinkered with it a lot in my free time,but i'm wondering what is the safe temperature range,mine runs at 1.25v,3.5ghz,idles at 35-40c and while gaming for hours it gets up to 65c with the wraith stealth,my ambient temperature is really high now though,probably close to 30c at times.You want it to be at least 550RPM I think. Make sure you tighten it properly. Idle temps should be ~35C - 40C and load, depending on what stress software you are using 60C -75C. I use OCCT's CPU test Large and Small data set. Assuming you are using the AMD cooler/heatsink that came with your MB/CPU.. M and t branch locations
You want it to be at least 550RPM I think. That’s a better fan curve, but you can increase the flat line section in very small increments until you can hear it, then lower it one increment & leave it there - you may get slightly more RPM than 20% & hence better cooling. Something to toy with if you want. The increased temperature difference increases heat transfer rate. With an increased heat transfer rate the cooler is more efficient. And as Ryzen 7000 does not punish running at 95 °C with lowered boost clocks the way the previous generations did I would expect that a lot of coolers will perform better on 7000 than they did on 3000 and 5000.Ryzen 7 3700x. Ive noticed that on idle i am stuck at 4.4ghz and 1.4volts which was concerning and my idle temps were around 45-50 degrees. Under load it drops the clock and volatge which i assume is normal but the idle clock ...not without modding it. i am looking at this option. basically the studs are too short and welded in place. so they would have to be drilled out, replaced with longer ones and rewelded. not sure how to go about htis, and if it is cheaper at that point to buy a 3rd cooler and get one with backplate that isnt 53mm this time. diptenkrom • 2 yr. agoCPU cooler and/or case and ambient temp. BIOS and chipset drivers may also involved. Usually all systems I’ve seen are around 25~35W for CPU PPT.Motherboard maker monitor apps use more resources than say HWInfo does. My 3700xt idles at 35-40c, up to 74-76c under load. And this is an allcore o/c @ 4.3ghz with a 1.256 undervolt.
