Their contention ratio is much lower, which means less customers are competing for bandwidth on a single GPON leg. I have many friends with AT&T Fiber in the Atlanta area that have outages multiple times a week over the past year.Spectrum is the cable internet provider in 90% of the Orlando metro area and Xfinity is only in around 10%. I’ve never had Xfinity, but I’ve heard some terrible things about them. I have Spectrum and have had no major issues with their base 200/10 package with no data caps (which Xifinity has).
